Traditional german 'pub' or beer hall to go for a drink in.

I%26#39;m in Berlin in a few weeks time just for a couple of nights. In the evening I like to go for a few drinks. Can you suggest somewhere traditional where I could go. It would be nice if there was a bit of traditional music or failing this at least somwheer where you can sit and talk. I%26#39;m stopping near Frankfurter Alle (nearest tube is Samaritterstrasse) so somewhere near that would be ideal but if there is nothing near there, then somewhere that is quite easy to access as we are relying on public transport. Thanks
