Any tips for a weekend in Bremin

Can you please give me tips on where to stay or what are good things to do in Bremen for a weekend. Even if you can narrow it done on good location to stay and where to go out? It seems to be hard to find resonable accomidation close to the city! Im going the weekend of the 17th Oct 08...

theres a HUGE festival going on that weekend! trust me you will have no problem that weekend finding something to do :)

OK so that is why there is no accomidation...if i stay outside the city is it easy to get in and out?

hi me and two friends are in bremen for a few days ariving same day as you , we got accomodation in the bremer haus hotel no bother reasonably priced and good reviews and i think the backpackers accomodation near the railway station has a very good reputation and is a bargain price.the volkfest starts 17th for two weeks a bit like oktoberfest in munich i beleive , should be a place for a good time, we are three blokes in our fifties relaxing in bremen for a few days good food and beer and sightseeing, hope you have a good time.if you need any other info i might be able to pass on what ive managed to glean from various websites. terry.

oh well bremer haus was full never mind im sure you will get somewhere good, the other place i just about booked was the youth hostel in bremen its right on the river and has great reviews, and really good prices, but it was our age that put me off alhough they dont have any age restrictions.check it out, jugendherberge.de the website has a page in englist. terry..bye
